In the latest list of the top 10 countries where property prices are rising

We see that many new countries have not yet entered the top 10 at the same time a year ago. 

Yes, all these countries are still affected by COVID-19. Generally, property prices may rise when transactions occur at a good time. 

On the other hand, when transactions occur during difficult times, property prices may fall. 

Please note that there is no guarantee that the price will decrease when the number of transactions decreases.

Well, this hasn’t really happened, but if we compare it with some of the countries below, then technically, they are also far apart. Prices increase wisely. 

Take a look at the top 10 countries in 2019. They showed a huge leap, which may also be because their numbers were really low before. 

For example, Turkey ranked first in the first quarter of 2020 and 32nd in the first quarter of 2019, when prices rose by only 3.5%.

12 months is too short

Specifically, if we look at Australia (a country where many Malaysians like to go or stay), the 12-month change in the first quarter of 2020 is a positive 8.6%. 

Prior to this, Australia’s price growth in the first quarter of 2019 was -5.1% and it ranked 56th. I don’t know what people think, but for me, this report show again that if the property’s market becomes a market that many people are concerned about, then house prices will stabilize after a negative year. 

No one can predict what will happen in the first quarter of 2021. It is more important to understand that if you own it, it will be a long-term process. 12 months is too short.
